On Sunday, February 11, on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Pride was a huge success, much in part to the volunteers, staffers, vendors and all the participants who helped to raise funds, celebrate freedoms, enjoy time with friends. But this year, it was not just a ‘gay pride’, but this year was a first… Trans Pride was celebrated this year along with everyone else.
Pink Sub was proud to be a part of this great celebration with our restaurant tent serving hundreds of wraps and side items, but we definitely stood out, not just for our pink color, but because of a very special partnership with Avi Ram.
For those of you who don’t know who Avi is, he is a Fort Lauderdale resident who hails from Israel. He is known for being a contestant on reality television show, Skin Wars, where artists would paint incredible designs on people’s bodies, judged by RuPaul, among others. Following his reality tv debut, Avi was the winner of another reality show, Global Beauty Masters. You may have even seen his work at the Halloween Block Party in Wilton Manors among some of the party goers who are airbrushed to look like animals, robots, and amazing characters.
As you can see, Pink Sub stood out at this year’s pride, as our young dancers from Johnson’s on Wilton Drive walked around the festival, taking photographs with revelers, representing Johnson’s, Pink Sub and Avi Ram.
If you did not participate in this year’s festivities, plan to be at the next event! Thanks again to everyone who participated in Pride FTL on the Beach!
Pink Sub Does Pride!
